The year 1852 is significant to Rock Hill, SC as it marks the establishment of the city's name and formal development. This was the year the Charlotte and South Carolina Railroad was built through the area, thus leading to the naming of the settlement after the "rocky hill" near the tracks. That year also held the establishment of the city's first U.S. Post Office further solidifying the identity and growth of Rock Hill.
Just as Rock Hill began to flourish by laying the right foundations with connection, identity, and infrastructure — our mission is to help our clients do the same. We guide them in building strong foundations for their financial future, creating lasting connections, and establishing a clear path to growth. By leveraging the right strategies and resources, we help clients not only get established but also thrive for generations to come.

My journey into finance is rooted in a robust education from Wofford College, where I earned degrees in Finance, Economics, and Accounting. This strong academic foundation underpins my commitment to providing tailored financial solutions and comprehensive guidance for my clients.
I specialize in key areas such as Investment Management, Wealth & Estate Planning, Retirement Planning, and Business Planning. What truly sets my approach apart is my dedication to holistic financial advice, often employing creative, 'outside the box' strategies. This innovative thinking is particularly beneficial for high-net-worth individuals, wealth planning clients, and business owners, helping them navigate complex financial landscapes and achieve their most ambitious goals.
Beyond the financial world, I'm a passionate classic car collector and restorer, enjoying the meticulous detail and rich history involved. I also find balance and focus through fishing, hunting, and various outdoor activities, alongside weight training. My personal life with my wife, Jennings, our three dogs, and 15 chickens keeps me grounded. My time as a four-year letterman and Division I baseball pitcher at Wofford instilled in me valuable lessons about discipline, strategic foresight, and perseverance, which are qualities I now bring to helping you build lasting financial security.

With more than 30 years of experience in financial services, I am dedicated to helping individuals, families, and business owners build confidence in their financial future. As co-owner of 1852 Financial Group LLC in Rock Hill, South Carolina, I provide comprehensive financial planning with a personalized, relationship-focused approach.
My career began while earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Winthrop University and progressed through leadership roles in banking and credit unions before joining New York Life, where I specialized in retirement planning, investments, and risk management. Today, I help clients develop coordinated financial strategies that align their investments, insurance, retirement, tax, estate, and business planning goals.
I hold the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®), and Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designations, reflecting my commitment to professional excellence and lifelong learning.
The CFP® designation is one of the most respected credentials in the financial planning profession. CFP® professionals complete rigorous education, pass a comprehensive examination, meet extensive experience requirements, and uphold high ethical standards.
Working with a CFP® professional means partnering with someone who is trained to look beyond individual products and create a comprehensive financial strategy tailored to your goals. My mission is to provide objective guidance, personalized advice, and long-term relationships that help clients make informed financial decisions with confidence.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, visiting the beach, kayaking, staying active, and finding new ways to enjoy the outdoors.

Transitioning from a dynamic career in education to financial administration, I bring a powerfully organized and genuinely personable approach to my work. My years as a teacher were instrumental in cultivating a comprehensive skill set: from meticulously managing complex environments and streamlining daily operations to anticipating needs, problem-solving effectively, and communicating with exceptional clarity and empathy. I now seamlessly apply these well-honed abilities to ensure operational excellence, provide meticulous support, and build positive, collaborative connections within the financial environment.
Originally from Rock Hill, SC, I spent 9 years in Charleston where I received my undergraduate from College of Charleston. My love for the beach came from my time there. I moved back to Rock Hill with my husband, Christopher. We have a daughter, Mia, who keeps us busy. Although much of my free time is with family, I do also enjoy reading and exploring different restaurants of our city and those surrounding.
